After slaughtering Real Madrid, Barcelona have returned to training on Monday (29/10) local time, to prepare for the Copa del Rey match at Cultural Leonesa this week.
Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde had begun preparations for the match and called on several Barçelona B players, namely Iñaki Peña, Lazar Carevic, Juan Miranda, Juan ‘Chumi’ Brandariz Movilla, Isaac Cuenca and Riqui Puig. Of the six players, some are expected to be in the first team squad this week.
But Jasper Cillessen, the Barçelona goalkeeper, missed the training session earlier this week. But in principle, it will not prevent him from being able to play on Cultural Leonesa.
7 Senior Players Will Break
Meanwhile, Ernesto Valverde is certain to give a break for seven players in the middle of this week. They are Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Philippe Coutinho, Luis Suarez and Jord Alba - all will sit outside the bench during the Copa del Rey match later.
Barçelona will compete at the Cultural Leonesa home on Thursday (1/11) morning WIB, where the second leg of the 32nd round will take place at the Camp Nou in December.
